HOW WE GOT IT DONE

It was a special celebration, FGC Vandeikya's silver jubilee 1994-2019.
Which amazed Us as to how much things have changed, and yet everything still felt comfortingly familiar. FEDVOSA did planned a lot of activities to keep us engaged, some of them being talk shows, sports and music. We had a great time, singing along when the school anthem was being sang. It was indeed an event to be remembered years to come.
These was our programme of events

SATURDAY 23rd November 2019
Was the main celebration.
DAY 1
The entire college community came to a stand still, it was a great experience indeed. The praise and worship was lite.
DAY 2
The program on this day started with an assembly, both the old students did attend. But that was after breakfast.
Tea and bread. Interestingly the school anthem now sound a little different, but they are still MATCHING ON UNITY.
After the assembly, the NATIONAL FEDVOSA EXCO Members meet with the school principal, Mr S AZATI. Programme for the day started immediately after the meeting.

Up next was an awareness show, QUESTAID FOUNDATION came through with their presentation. With our sister Avershima Akighir did educated us on why we don't need to discriminate against people living with disabilities. She told us disability is not the end of road but a start of a new beginning.

HEALTH TALK SHOW WAS MAGICAL
With Dr. Aliegba our former Head boy was with no dull moments

Ngutor Tembe gave us a closing prayers to end the morning session. After which we had a photo session with the students. It was fun filled.

Up next was MEAL, as a foodie.
I took double ration. What type of that? I had lunch at the KYABIZ Hill top Hotel, below are my pictorial evidence.

One big family
Yes, I did had a enough but we wanted to also see what was happening at the School dining hall. I did payed them a visit that very afternoon, guess what?

It was already time for the session.
Basketball
The game was electrifying. It was a game between the school team and the old students.

We won that match.
FOOTBALL MATCH
our FEDVOSA team coach was Ava James had a flexible lineup with likes of Magic skiver, Konshisha, ABAJI SEFA, James Kende, Dr. Aliegba and the likes.
It was a 40 mins match.
ABAJI SEFA did score a goal before Igbetar Godwin equalize. It ended 1 : 1.
HANDBALL
This was the most fun filled game, we needed VAR(video assistant referee) in this game. They were so much decisions to be reviewed.
The vice principal special duities also played, and he was my man if the match. When a vice principal is the man of the match you know what it is.

Time for DINNER, that was how I discovered that this students do eat indomie and egg on a Friday evening. See enjoyment.

It was amazing, guess what? FEDVOSA gave out awards to the longest serving non-teaching and teaching staff.
AYUA MICHAEL was given the award, as the longest serving teacher while
MR ALHAJI the driver was awarded as the longest serving non-academic staff.
We did justice to the anniversary cake.
Students were not left out. Soft drinks and snacks we're enough to go round.
The party continue at the popular Vandeikya's LION PLAZA.
DAY 3
The main anniversary celebration.
They were so many speakers with their speeches. I am not always interested in them.
But we started with a Thanksgiving Mass, a proud FEDVOSITE was the officiating priest. Rev Fr Isaac IYORNYAGH, together with the college chaplain.

After the Mass, oh breakfast was next. Come to think of it, it was beans and yam. I had to visit a restaurant, before I could be back in school, the main event started.
Infact those speeches where not designed for old students
The school principal had one to deliver
The guest speaker was Prof. Nyityo of BSU History department.
Chairman of the event was also represented.
Our National Please Mr Iorwuese AFATYO also delivered his goodwill message.
