*WHY MUSIC*
1. Music is a wonderful tranquilizer bestowing calmness and peace as it instills inner joy
2. Its mesmerizing effects bring comfort as it puts to flight any form if worry or misery.
3. It is a social integrator: The music maker is brought into limelight and soon becomes a household name - the people's idol.
4. It models the musician into an agreeable human being who would want to be impeccable in character so as to fit into a desired social milieu. Happy dines with the kings and princes.
5. Even in the traditional society, no one would want to fall prey to castigator who make it their business to fish out social offenders and sing derogatory songs about them. That makes music a social controller which makes people adhere to social norms - character building and training.
6. Music sharpens the mind. It is a mental cleanser and motivator as it keeps the mind very busy with musical calculations and exploits.
7. Music makes the musician harmony conscious and puts him in harmony with all genres of people. He is very happy and friendly.
8. The enchanting power if music disarms foes and bring out the benevolence in them.
9. It is a beautiful discipline for the selected few who are happy and proud to belong.
10. Job or no job, the music maker is sure to thrive.
11. It is a special and fastest vehicle through which God is reached and so is a great unifier if the heavens and earth, a unifier if the nations.
Music was in the world before man came into it and will survive man at the end if time. This makes the musician a performer here and hereafter.
